This is the first outfit I bought when we got the call that we had been selected and that the birth mom was having a Girl!I ran to Target just to get some formula..... yeah.... came home with some really cute shoes, towels, bath mat, and a few car seat toys!!

Okay, so I want to know - when did you get the call?
Where were you? How long did you have to get to Michigan, etc., etc. You know me - I'm the curious type!

We got the initial call the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We had our first telephone conference with Meagan on Wed morning and connected really well. We flew to Michigan on the weekend of December 11-13 to meet her face to face along with meeting the social worker in MI and the attorney.
Then when we went to Chicago for Christmas we went back to MI to see her again and to go to a doctors appointment. She was dilated to 2 so we decided to stay so we didn't miss the birth... so yes... we left for Christmas 12.22.09 and didn't get back here until Jan 25!!! I am swimming in a months worth of dust and mail! lol
But.... it was all worth it!!!
She is pretty darn cute isn't she ;-)
