January 19th -

First full day out of the hospital. A photo opportunity in some new clothes!!
Bath time! Now that wasn't so bad..... was it?

January 17th a day of testing and check-ups!

Emma slept very well for us and Meagan through the night. We got up really early and brought her back into our "Nesting Room" so that Meagan could get more sleep. This allowed us a little bit of bonding time with our angel...

January 18th Released from the hospital!

Since Meagan and Emma were both doing so well the doctors released them both about 6 hours early!!! Yippie... time to get her dressed and take lots and lots of photos!!! The outfit Meagan and I chose to send her home in was given my her cousin Malia!

We moved her to her crib to get a few more before the professional photographer came in... the blanket in the background was given to her from her Auntie Christina!














Now... being in Michigan in January... it was freezing outside... and snow was actually falling when we left... being a good Mommy I prepared for the event by buying a "0-3 months" snow suit for her... well.... as you can see.... it was HUGE on her! lol .... her legs barely reached the end of the belly section! lol...




















Granddad and Grandma were patiently waiting at the hotel for us to
arrive!

Emma January 16th

Emma did wonderful through the night! She got to visit with us and her birth mom who is recovering wonderfully from her emergency C-section. Meagan was a champ through surgery and the recovery process! Up and walking within 10 hours and requesting "real food" lol....

When Emma eats she likes to cross her feet! The cutest thing EVER!!!

Welcome! My First Post!

Welcome to my first blog and my first posting!!

While I have been a blog reader for years, I have never had the desire to start one...until now!!!!!!

After years of wishing for a family, our dreams have finally come true. On January 15, 2010 our angel from heaven arrived via a mother that chose us as the perfect family for her daughter.
Introducing Emma Madison born January 15, 2010 at 5:56 p.m. at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI. She weighed in at 7 lbs 4.9 oz 21" long. She is perfect in every way.




With us having friends and family around the world I thought this would be the best way to keep everyone up to date on Emma's life. As most of you know... I take pictures... lots and lots of pictures... so this will help me with only sending the best of the best! lol.... (I have been known to send a Kodak photo album with 400 photos in it!!! )
